I have been privileged to have spent my entire life working within the wonderful world of the beauty industry and loving every minute of it!
We have never had more information available or products from which to choose. The funny thing is, that no matter what advancements take place or how much information is readily available I still get asked the same questions about skincare!
Let's address the 3 most frequent questions I get asked at this time of year when our skin is struggling to balance itself at a time of great seasonal change.

I have been using a product for a long time, it seems to have stopped working so should I change product?
A product doesn’t stop working and if you are still happy with the results then no. However if you are not then yes. What is happening is that your skin, environment and/or lifestyle has changed and it is possible that this product no longer meets the needs of your skin. The skin is the largest living organ of your body and is constantly renewing, rebalancing and restoring itself however with age this process becomes less efficient and requires more assistance from your skincare products.

Why do I have to apply my moisturiser several times a day to keep my skin feeling comfortable?
You shouldn't need to. There are many wonderful ingredients available that when blended into a sophisticated formulation will provide and instant and sustain hydration. I recommend AD skin synergy's radiant skin moisturiser as a perfect example of this. A great moisturiser will glide on effortlessly and then sink into your skin quickly leaving it looking and feeling soft, comfortable and radiant all day. It will provide instant hydration to quench the skin's initial thirst for moisture and then continue to ensure that the moisture levels are sustain throughout the day. Make-up application should be able to take place almost immediately. Don't equate heavy, rich textures with sustained hydration. Anything that sits on the skin for prolonged periods during the day waiting to be absorbed will just evaporate into the atmosphere and therefore no longer be of benefit to your skin.

How do I use my products for the best possible results?
It starts with reading the instructions and using less! We do tend to think that the more we use the better and faster we will see the results and I have been guilty of this myself on many occasions in the past! Put your product into the palms of your hand and blend before applying onto your face and neck. The natural warmth of your hands will allow your product to melt creating greater spreadability on the skin. You will also get a more even distribution of your product. Be sure to wash your hands before applying any skincare products, otherwise you will get day-to-day dirt and grime transferred onto your face.
